Dickson Encourages People with Heart and Circulatory Disease to Access BHF Resources
East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has encouraged those concerned about heart or circulatory diseases during the Covid-19 Pandemic, to make use of the online and telephone resources the British Heart Foundation has put in place to help.
Mr Dickson commented: “Many people with heart and circulatory conditions may be concerned about the impact of Covid-19 on their daily lives, and the potential risk of the disease. To support people through this difficult time the British Heart Foundation has set up additional resources.
“These include an expansion of their ‘Heart Helpline’ where patients can speak directly to specialist nurses about concerns.
“The organisation has also set up a ‘Coronavirus Hub’ on their website for the latest information on Covid-19, and a ‘Cardiac Rehab at Home’ resource, so that even with regular services being curtailed, those who have had a heart attack or cardiac surgery can access resources on continuing their recovery.”
