Dickson Welcomes Big Lottery Funding for Local Community Groups

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has expressed his delight that local community groups are to receive funding from the Big Lottery Fund.

The ‘Our Lives, Our Voices’ project from Diabetes UK is to receive £430,282. The project is empowering young people from across Northern Ireland aged 13-25 with Type 1 Diabetes to take an active role in managing their condition and how it affects their everyday lives. Roddensvale Special School is also to receive £9,360 to run music therapy sessions and training.

Mr Dickson commented: “I am delighted that these local community projects can benefit from the good work that the Big Lottery Fund does locally, and I wish them all the best for the future.”
