🚦Road Works on A57 Ballyrobin Road🚦

DFI Roads intend to begin surfacing works on A57 Ballyrobin Road from Monday 28th September 2026. The works are expected to last for approximately 5 weeks.

In order to carry out these works, the following temporary traffic control measures will be implemented:

Monday 28th September to Friday 1st October 2026: Lane closure from 09:30 hrs to 16:30 hrs, with traffic controlled via temporary traffic signals.

Monday 5th October to Friday 9th October 2026: Full road closure overnight between 7pm and 6am (Airport Roundabout to Killead Roundabout).

Monday 12th October to Friday 16th October 2026: Full road closure overnight between 7pm and 6am (Airport Roundabout to Killead Roundabout).

Monday 19th October to Friday 23rd October 2026: Full road closure overnight between 7pm and 6am (Airport Roundabout to Killead Roundabout).

Monday 26th October to Friday 30th October 2026: Lane closure from 09:30 hrs to 16:30 hrs, with traffic controlled via temporary traffic signals.

Access to the airport car parks / terminal building will always be available from the Antrim town direction (A57 Dublin Road / Antrim Road / Airport Road) throughout the entire works.

During the overnight road closures, between Monday 5th October and Friday 23rd October 2026, traffic approaching the airport from Killead Roundabout will be diverted via A26 Oldstone Road / A6 Belfast Road / A6 Belmont Road / A57 Dublin Road.

A second diversion for HGV Traffic will be signed via A57 Ballyrobin Road / A6 Antrim & Belfast Road / A6 Belmont Road / A57 Dublin Road to avoid low bridge on Oldstone Road.

If you are travelling to the International Airport over the next few weeks, please do allow extra time for your journey.
