Dickson Welcomes the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme
East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed the opening of the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme.
Mr Dickson said: “The scheme, administered by the Department of Justice and Capita, is intended to support the victims of Troubles-related incidents following an assessment of the degree of permanent disability they may have sustained.
“This will be an important scheme for many people across Northern Ireland, and I would encourage anyone thinking of submitting an application to consider the guidance and the eligibility criteria published by the Victims’ Payments Board”.
The scheme opened on the 31st August 2021, and will remain open until the 31st August 2026.
