Dickson Welcomes Hold on Water Bills and Tariff Increases

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed an announcement by the Infrastructure Minister that water and sewerage bills for business and non-domestic customers will not be issued until July, to reduce pressure on budgets.

Mr Dickson commented: “The challenges businesses are facing as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic are unprecedented, and any assistance including the deferral of water bills will help.

“Many businesses have had to cease trading and that is why it is vital that government does everything it can to reduce the burden on stretched budgets.

Ultimately, we must ensure that when conditions allow these businesses will have the ability to reopen and resume regular employment and serving the public.”
