Dickson Welcomes Financial Boost for the Third Sector
Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson has welcomed news that the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector will benefit from £16 million from dormant bank and building society accounts in Northern Ireland.
Stewart Dickson said: “As chair of the Assembly All Party Group on Social Enterprise I welcome the news that £16 million is to be released from dormant accounts to benefit the third sector. This initiative is a long time coming, and thankfully is now in motion as a result of all parties working together to agree on the best use of these resources.
“It is now over to the voluntary, community and social enterprises sector to come up with plans to ensure this money is spent to ensure maximum benefit for our community.
