East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has expressed his disappointment at recent hikes in electricity and gas prices putting greater pressure on household budgets.

Mr Dickson commented: “Many people are still ‘just getting by’, and with rising prices and the prospect of Brexit causing sharp price rises, this is another insult to injury. However, households can still save by actively switching suppliers, to make them work for their business. In fact, many people do not know they are on the most expensive tariff, therefore I encourage everyone to check out the Consumer Council’s website where you can compare tariffs and offers from suppliers.
