NI Cancer Patient Survey an Important Opportunity to Improve Patient Experience - Dickson
East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has encouraged people to express their views in the NI Cancer Patient Experience Survey.
The survey, developed in partnership by Macmillan Cancer Support, the Public Health Agency (PHA), the Health and Social Care Board and all five Health and Social Care Trusts is now underway, and is asking for the views of those treated for cancer in between May and October 2017.
Around 6,000 people will have an opportunity to have their say on the quality of their cancer care experience, with full results due in the Autumn.
Mr Dickson commented: “Cancer has impacted us all in one way or another, and it is evident that the experience of cancer treatment can be stressful and upsetting. This survey seeks to find out the progress on patient experience and what else can be done to improve the lives of those receiving treatment for cancer.
“Therefore, I would strongly encourage anyone who has received an invitation to take part in the survey to express their views, whether or positive or negative, to help achieve the right course for improving patient experience in Northern Ireland.”
