Dickson and Donnelly Turn In Nomination Papers

Stewart Dickson and Danny Donnelly, East Antrim Alliance candidates for the Northern Ireland Assembly, today turned in their nomination papers.

Arriving this morning in the Electoral Area Office in Newtownabbey, Mr Dickson and Mr Donnelly were joined by former Alliance leader, David Ford, North Antrim candidate, Patricia O’Lynn, and Mid Ulster candidate, Fay Watson.

Mr Dickson speaking at the Office said: “While I had not expected to be here so soon after the May 2016 election it is with a great sense of excitement I enter this campaign.

“With the two main parties so dramatically failing the people of Northern Ireland, the alternative provided by Alliance is sorely needed.”

Mr Donnelly added: “I look forward to talking to the people of East Antrim. Alliance provides, and will continue to provide, the positive, constructive and truthful voice in Northern Irish politics.”

Stewart Dickson has been the Alliance MLA for East Antrim since 2011. Danny Donnelly is a Charge Nurse in the Ulster Hospital and has been an active campaigner on social issues for many years.
