Dickson Backs ‘Save Our Childcare Vouchers’ Campaign

Alliance East Antrim, Stewart Dickson, has said the UK Government has ‘seriously let parents down’ by ending the childcare voucher scheme for new members.

Mr Dickson commented: “This Government appears to be interested in talking about childcare and supporting working families rather than actually investing in them. The UK continually lags other European countries in childcare provision and the ending of childcare vouchers for new parents is so damaging and leaves working families and employers worse off.

“That’s why I commend Employers for Childcare’s submission to HM Treasury and their call for the UK Government to invest in childcare services.”
